Since When Does Murder Have Sex Appeal?

Why do girls in tight, short, and often soaking wet t-shirts continue to be characters in EVERY horror movie?! I didn't realize that the act of chasing innocent people through forests just to slowly torture each part of their body should go hand in hand with overtly sexual images of women. They aren't even being subtle about it! Just take the two photos I have posted above, for example. Both of these are scenes from two different very popular teen horror movies, Texas Chainsaw Masacre, and Wrong Turn. Now you may not see my point, so let me make it clear. THESE ARE HORROR MOVIES. These plotlines consist of mass killings in the most disturbing ways possible. The characters will all die a brutal death by the end of the movie. But surprisingly, the girls wearing tight jeans and white t-shirts always seem to survive a tad bit longer than any of the other characters (hmmm..). I challenge you to think of some teen horror movies that don't feature an overly sexualized female in the cast. There aren't very many.
We have become a culture that is attracted to things such as torture and murder. We pay money to see 2 hour films filled with constant decapitation, and gruesome breaking of limbs. Murder tools include chainsaws, guns, knives, acid, and any other tools that can be used to hurt the body. Sound appealing? Apparently it is, as well as half naked women running for their lives. Oh, how...reviting. I understand that this is the genre that teens enjoy watching, and they also enjoy seeing very attractive people on screen. However, this odd combination of murder and sexuality is just wrong.
